Don’t fall asleep: In our next ode to ’80s horror, one of the most thoughtful — and frightening — flicks from the era pits Freddy, Nancy and those creepy double-dutching schoolgirls against your liver.

The only thing better than watching horror films? Watching horror films and drinking beers. Drinking lots of beers. The Macabre Bros. give the Internet what it so desperately wants with The Drinking Games, an ongoing series of liver-testing games tailor-made for horror films. Be warned: The rules occasionally give away twists, plot points and other spoilers, so we recommend seeing the films first. Now, let’s get rowdy.

The Rules
Death/killing/fatal slashing/whatever – 2 drinks
Sex scenes – 2 drinks
When you hear the Freddy theme song (including “one, two, Freddy’s coming for you…” lyrics) – 2 drinks
Anytime Freddy scrapes his finger-knives against anything – 1 drink
The first appearance of Johnny “Just Wants To Get Laid” Depp – Play categories (go around the room and list every Johnny Depp movie you can think of. The first person to get stumped or repeat another answer takes 2 drinks)
Anytime a character drinks coffee, takes pills or otherwise tries anything possible to stay awake (including help from others) – 1 drink
Anytime you, as in you personally, figure out a character is in a dream – 1 covert drink (don’t spoil things for newbies)
When Freddy utters one of his ridiculous, creepy;funny one-liners – 1 drink
The ceiling death – Finish half a beer
When Nancy falls asleep in class – 1 hit
Johnny “He Never Got Laid” Depp’s death – 1 modified strikeout (take one hit, hold it, take a swig of beer, blow it out)

Our original chicken scratch, lovingly scrawled across a New Belgium coaster. Yup.
