Heya, Georgie: Who do ya think would win a no-holds-barred, winner-takes-all brawl between Tim Curry (aka Pennywise from the 1990 TV mini-series) and Bill Skarsgard (aka Pennywise from the 2017 film remake)? Or would they team up to conquer every precious soul in Derry? It’s clown on clown action in our very first Macabre Deathmatch!

Listen to Macabre Bros and Brahs review It (1990) and It (2017) here!

In this episode, we’ve got our very first horror remake deathmatch! In one corner is Stephen King’s It (1990), a TV miniseries starring a young Seth Green, a 30something John Ritter and Tim Curry as evil incarnate in the form of a murderous clown. In the other corner is It (2017), a twisted, terrifying, modern remake of the same story with creepy Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. And in the middle, acting as ref, is the 1986 novel: a 1,100-page tome about misfits, friendship, tragedy and the dark underbelly of Derry, USA.
