Welcome BACK to Macabre Madness! It’s the second year of our horror movie tournament, where 60 films in 6 genres battle to see which one is crowned the goriest, grittiest, bloodbath-iest of them all.
Never seen or heard of half the horror movies in this year’s tournament? We feel the same about the NCAA tournament. No. 3 Dayton? No 11 Creighton? Jack Frost and Lake Mungo? Who the cares, we’re gonna play anyway!

How does Macabre Madness work? Simple, it’s a horror movie bracket tournament like the 64-team NCAA March Madness tournament, except we use horror films instead of college basketball teams. Last film standing is crowned Macabre motherfucking Champion!
The Rules
1. Get a drink
2. Place yer bets on divisional (aka genre) and overall champs, winner takes all!
3. First round: highest Rotten Tomatoes score
4. Second round: highest Metacritic score
5. Third round: “Best of web” average (Rotten Tomatoes + Metacritic)
6. Semifinal round: “Lightning round” with podcast debate
7. Finals: group podcast debate
