Welcome to Briarcliff, home of Lana Winters, Sister Jude, a Nazi doctor and infamous mass murderer Bloodyface. This second season of American Horror Story has all the batshit insanity of the first season, but finds its footing with clear character arcs, unexpected musical numbers (!!) and incredible lead performances.

Listen to Macabre Bros and Brahs review American Horror Story: Asylum here!

It’s been six years since American Horror Story: Asylum hit the airwaves, introducing horror TV fanatics to the claustrophobic halls of Briarcliff Manor and its tragic inhabitants. Over 13 episodes, this season follows an intrepid journalist, Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson), as she investigates a patient known as Bloodyface. She soon gets pulled into the dark, twisted reality of a Catholic asylum gone to hell, overseen by Sister Jude (the indelible Jessica Lange), an inept Monsignor and the maniacal Sister Mary Eunice, in a star-making performance from Lily Rabe. Best served with Avery’s White Rascal and Odells 90 Shilling.
